CONCERTS AND MASTERCLASS IN POLAND

Mara Aranda and her Sephardic music visits us in Poland. Wroclaw, June 25. Warsaw June 27.
 
The famous singer of Sephardic music, Mara Aranda, visit us in Poland and present her work 'Sephardic Legacy' for the Polish public. In two privileged venues, White Stork Synagogue in Wroclaw and the Museum of the History of Polish Jews in Warsaw will enjoy an unforgettable concert. 
 
Mara Aranda, the new voice of the old Sefarad lands in Poland in June 2015 with her last cd 'Sephardic Legacy'. The Polish cities of Wroclaw and Warsaw willbe the next stop on this tour of Eastern Europe to mark the 450th anniversary of the arrival of Sephardic Jews to the Ottoman Empire; a tour that began in Sofia, Bulgaria in April and will end in Sarajevo, Bosnia in October.

Directed and produced by Jota Martinez, specialist in cítolas, lutes and hurdy-gurdy, join with Mara Aranda this project to bring the public a music that formed an important part of the social and cultural life of the inhabitants of the different religions coexisted in the Iberian peninsula of Spain, alternating periods of higher and lower tolerance for nearly eight centuries, more than 24 generations, in  the Sefarad of The Hispanic Jews, the Al-Andalus of Muslimor Christian Spain. In Sephardic Legacy we find the sound of instruments of the Spanish medieval tradition traditional together with the North Africa and the eastern Mediterranean sounds.
 
2015 is also an important personal anniversary to Mara Aranda, which celebrates 25 years on the world stage.More than Two decades during which researched and sang Turkish songs, Greek, Occitan and ancient, medieval and Sephardic music, with nearly of two dozen albums,  worthy of awards and recognition from the public and media specialized.
