COLLECTION THE MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS IN HEBREW ART OF MEDIEVAL SPAIN

International Sephardic Music Festival of Córdoba, Spain

From 8 to 13 June is celebrated the tenth fourth edition of the International Festival of Sephardic Music in Cordoba, a consolidated  festival, which bringstogether fourteen years in Cordoba at the best international groups of this musical style by converting this event in one of the most important of its kind in Europe.

For first time will be released under the title of 'Musical Instruments in Hebrew art of Medieval Spain' , the exhibition which will open the festival, 
after many months of work and years of research and preparation, construction and adaptation of musical instruments reflected in codex, literature and on 
all Haggadot, the Jewish books that speak of the liberation from slavery of the Israelites from Egypt.

Jota Martinez, curator of the exhibition, told  in his opening to the large audience that approached, the main sources of inspiration and to gather 
documentation.  Hebrew Bibles, Sephardic Haggadot, miniatures of the Cantigas de St Mary, representations of King David and his musicians on the Romanesque and Gothic texts and arquitecture and also chronics that refer to the Jews in their work of musicians, illuminators and miniaturists ... the collection consists of 60 pieces that impress with their history and beauty.
